This is the on-line version of the fourth edition of the Short Bibliography of the Latin Language and Literature, compiled by M.G.M. van der Poel, Nijmegen 1996 (out of print. The first edition, published in 1979 and compiled by M.G.M. van der Poel and J.H. Brouwers, was a continuation of the Bibliographia Latina Selecta, published by A.D. Leeman in 1966. The purpose of all the editions of the bibliography is to provide Dutch university students a brief bibliographical survey of the main classical Latin authors and a selection of the literature available in classical Latin literature and linguistics.

This bibliography is continually updated with new bibliographies, text editions and monographs on subjects and authors. The compiler welcomes corrections and suggestions (m.v.d.poel@let.ru.nl)

Dit is de online-versie van de vierde editie van de Beknopte bibliografie van de Latijnse taal- en letterkunde, samengesteld door M.G.M. van der Poel, Nijmegen 1996 (uitverkocht). De eerste editie, verschenen in 1979, samengesteld door M. van der Poel en J.H. Brouwers, was een voortzetting van A.D. Leeman's Bibliographia Latina Selecta, gepubliceerd in 1966.

De opzet van de vierde editie verschilt niet van die van de voorafgaande edities (1979, 1983, 1989; samengesteld door M. van der Poel en J.H. Brouwers). Bij het samenstellen van de vierde editie is, naast L'Année philologique (tot 1992), onder andere ook gebruik gemaakt van de Nederlandse Centrale Catalogus, die onderdeel is van De digitale bibliotheek.

De online-versie van de bibliografie wordt zoveel mogelijk actueel gehouden door het opnemen van bibliografieën en recente tekstedities en monografieën. Voor correcties, aanvullingen en suggesties houdt de bewerker (m.v.d.poel@let.ru.nl) zich aanbevolen.
